Our History

Through years of working in global mobility and international operations, we saw a recurring problem.

Support was largely designed for traditional expat packages and large corporate budgets, not for the increasingly diverse and independent talent shaping today's global workforce.

Openrelo was created to rethink that model. We brought together proven corporate standards with a more flexible, accessible approach — one that prioritises structure, clarity and human decision-making over rigid processes. Our belief is simple: professional support should be clear, well-structured and available to everyone who needs it — not only to those with large corporate packages.

Founder & CEO

Ira Elisa brings over 20 years of experience in international mobility, having led complex projects and co-founded one of Spain's leading firms in the sector.

Based in Madrid and originally from Finland, she combines deep operational knowledge with a human, strategic approach.

At Openrelo, she leads the development of a more structured, accessible model for global mobility, one that balances corporate standards with real-world flexibility.

Co-founder & Global Mobility Legal Lead

Emilina is a lawyer with over ten years of experience specialising in immigration law, supported by an MBA and an international professional background.

She previously led the legal function alongside Ira at one of Spain's leading firms in the sector, working on complex immigration cases for international professionals and companies.

At Openrelo, she focuses on translating regulatory and legal requirements into clear, practical processes supporting talent mobility without unnecessary complexity.

Customer Experience Lead

Anika has over ten years of experience in international mobility, combining operational leadership with first-hand experience living and working across multiple countries.

She previously served as Country Manager in Finland and later as Global Head of Mobility for a multinational gaming company, where she led mobility programmes at scale.

At Openrelo, she is responsible for client experience, ensuring every case is delivered with operational rigour, clarity and a strong understanding of the human side of global mobility.
